Online travel company ebookers.com has claimed that Dubai will be among the top five holiday destinations for 2007…
This is an indication of the strong tourism demand that will further support the Dubai property market this year.
The site states that the emirate is the fifth best-selling destination in the worldwide sale that it is currently running.
Dubai is currently remodelling itself as a "holidaymaker’s paradise", according to ebookers.com, with the striking, sail-shaped hotel Burj Al Arab one of its many attractive features.
Other aspects of the city which will attract travellers, such as its white sand beaches, bustling souks and shopping centres, have also been instrumental in making the Dubai property market a popular choice with investors.
For more adventurous individuals, ebookers.com points out that the emirate also offers excursions such as four-wheel drive ''dune-bashing'' sessions in the desert and sandboarding trips.
Top of the site’s list of popular destinations for 2007 was Bangkok, with Sydney, New York and Johannesburg also featuring in the top five.
